This mixed media work is the latest addition to my series of state maps. I had always wanted to draw Badlands and I figured this was my opportunity. The Big Muddy—Missouri River—winds through the state’s middle. Featured materials include vintage ledger paper, acrylic, watercolor, fabric, leather, and graphite.
